Monday is being made merry this season, as CAES Interim Dean Shirley Hymon-Parker hosts her annual holiday reception. The fete is scheduled from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, in the student lounge area of Webb Hall.

Refreshments will be served. Music will be played. Spirits are expected to be festive. All CAES faculty and staff are encouraged to attend the floating reception to celebrate the successes of the semester and fellowship with one another.

African Nations’ Delegates Get Look at N.C. Agriculture

The College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences welcomed a delegation of government leaders from the Republics of Malawi and Zambia to campus on July 24, showcasing agricultural research and techniques the nations may consider adopting.

Cooperative Extension shares successes in two new DIGITAL publications

For Cooperative Extension at N.C. A&T, the last program year has been one of success in the face of unprecedented challenges. The new online publication Solutions for North Carolina documents some of those successes as well as the efforts taken by Extension staff on campus and in the field to adapt their programs and offer education as limited-resource farmers and communities struggled with the uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Graduate Student Wins Award for Fresh Beverage Idea

“Diligent” is the way Uchenna Anele, Ph.D., professor and interim chair of the Department of Animal Sciences, describes his mentee, graduate research assistant Chika Anotaenwere. So, he wasn’t surprised that she completed the 16-week Agribusiness Entrepreneurial Academy at the Agriculture Business Innovation Center (ABIC) — and won a student award in the process.

M. Ray McKinnie ’76 reaches back with Animal Sciences scholarship
