Sampson Community College Agreement to Help Future Ag Education Students

The College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences has teamed up with Sampson Community College to help future agricultural education teachers further their progress toward a bachelor’s degree.

An agreement signed Sept. 17 allows SCC agribusiness and animal science students to transfer more than 50 credit hours toward a bachelor of science in agricultural education from N.C. A&T through the online Agricultural Education 2+2 Program.

This initiative streamlines the path to a bachelor of science in agricultural education — the university’s oldest academic degree — while reducing costs and accelerating completion. The 2+2 program is the longest-running online undergraduate degree at the university.

The program partners with multiple North Carolina community colleges and the two-year Agricultural Institute at North Carolina State University.
